Growing specialist patent attorney firm FPA Patent Attorneys Pty Ltd (FPA) continues to strengthen its patent practice with the promotion of three Principals and two Senior Associates.

Dr Adam Denley, Dr Karen Bentley and Mrs Daneta Crump have been promoted to Principal, with Dr Rory Anderson and Dr Sarah Hennebry appointed Senior Associates in the firm’s Melbourne office.

Adam and Karen both have a background in biotechnology and pharmaceuticals while Daneta specialises in engineering and design. All act for a broad range of clients including international corporations, start-up companies and local research institutes. Rory works in chemical engineering and Sarah in biotechnology.

FPA Managing Director James Cherry said the appointments reflect the strength and growth of the firm, and supports its ongoing commitment to service excellence.

‘We have experienced substantial success over the last few years and the addition of three new Principals and two Senior Associates reflects the depth of skills that we offer in our practice. Like our other Principals, Daneta, Karen and Adam are recognised for their ability to assist clients to optimise the value of their intellectual property.’

Mr Cherry said ‘I look forward to continuing to work with Adam, Karen and Daneta and every member of our team to provide exceptional service and outcomes for our clients, along with great opportunities for our people.’

Dr Adam Denley said he was thrilled to receive the promotion. ‘My time at FPA has been rewarding with opportunities for growth during my career. FPA is a great firm with people passionate about what they do and how they can help clients bring ideas to life.’

Dr Karen Bentley said she considered it a privilege to be entrusted with the responsibility of protecting her client’s inventions. ‘I am rewarded daily by seeing the brilliant innovations coming from individuals and teams across the world.'

Mrs Daneta Crump is appreciative that her experience is being recognised. ‘I’ve spent many years working closely with my clients to become a trusted adviser. It’s exciting to help creative people secure protection and defend their rights.’
