About Alex

Excited to realise the commercial and social benefits of research through patents.

Alex has extensive experience in several areas of biotechnology including biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, and immunology. Her primary areas of research were protein aggregation and the responses of immune cells to infection.

Alex was drawn to patents as they are a key vehicle to realising the commercial and social benefits of research. In particular, Alex is excited about the rapid increase in biomedical inventions, and hopes that she will be able to facilitate their commercialisation and accessibility in the market.

Alex has experience with patent prosecution in Australia, New Zealand, the USA, Europe, and different jurisdictions in the Asia-Pacific region. Being fluent in Mandarin Chinese and Japanese, she is also able to access different sources of information and provide advice that is tailored to clients’ needs.
