Dr Elyse Schinella and Robbie Boukarroum have been promoted to the position of Senior Associate in recognition of outstanding performance since qualifying as Australian and New Zealand registered patent attorneys.
With a background in geophysics and extensive research experience, Elyse joined FPA after completing her PhD on the evolution of Venus' geological landforms. This background affords Elyse specialisation in the geophysics, mining and space science industries.
“Working at FPA provides me the opportunity to work with some of the most highly regarded IP practitioners in Australia. As I step into the role of Senior Associate I look forward to applying my knowledge to the client work entrusted to me” said Elyse.
Robbie joined the firm in 2015 after graduating from the University of Melbourne with a Master of Engineering degree specialising in mechanical engineering. Robbie has also completed his Master of Intellectual Property Law along with short courses in both CNC machining and welding, providing him with both technical and practical knowledge.
“I look forward to the challenge of increased responsibility that is associated with this promotion to Senior Associate, and working more closely with clients to achieve great outcomes” said Robbie.
FPA Patent Attorneys Managing Principal John Dower said “Robbie and Elyse are two examples of outstanding candidates that support FPA’s premium patent firm status in Australia. Both demonstrate our core values, day in, day out, by providing an individualised service offering which routinely exceeds our clients’ expectations.”
